eConsult is a platform that allows you to seek self-help information from the NHS, through your GP Practice or surgery website. Services include self-help information, advice or help from local services which may be appropriate for your condition, such as self-referral services or help from your local pharmacy.

eConsult also allows you to seek advice online for NON -URGENT ISSUES ONLY  or if you need general or administrative advice.

eConsult is for non-urgent medical advice, queries, and appointment requests only.

  • Do not use eConsult for medical emergencies or urgent health problems.

  • If you believe your condition is serious or life-threatening, please call 999 or go to your nearest Accident & Emergency (A&E) department immediately.

  • For urgent but non-life-threatening issues, please contact NHS 111 (available 24/7) or your GP practice by phone during opening hours.

  • eConsult submissions are reviewed during normal surgery hours only and may take up to 2 working days for a response depending on capacit and other emergencies that affects practices on a daily basis.
